Task 2.2 ~ Print artefacts research - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (ios version) review
This review is very similar to the other two magazine reviews of video games that I have researched. This keeps in line with the many conventions that I have found from the other two reviews. It incorporates the use of one or two large screenshots from the game and more amounts of smaller text. The audience wants it like this so that they can still see what the game will look like but will also understand what the game will be like to play.
The Crysis 3 review had 4 pages dedicated to it's review because it was a marquee release. The FIFA 13 review had a full page due to it's large fanbase. This Grand Theft Auto review has half a page allocated for a review. The reason for this is because this particular review was for the IOS (iPod/iPhone/iPad) version and therefore has limited features and is only available for one format.
The colour scheme to this review matches the setting to the game. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has a light grey colouring to the review. This relates to the game as it is set in a more urban area than the other two games and enhances the authenticity and likability of not just the review but the game itself.
